What *IS* Willis Talking About?

I have still been slacking this week, I haven’t had a great week, I won’t go into anything and bore you all to death.. but I haven’t been online much!

There was a ton of stuff I wanted to blog that’s already been blogged by half the world, but hey, I thought a quick weekend recap might work for those that might have missed them, or been unsure about purchasing.  So yeah… lame but sorry, that’s all I got for ya!

First up, Tuli – Jade!  The gorgeous new skin from Tuli, shown here in tone 2, but available in 5… she comes with three brow options and three cleavage options.. yup… three!   I absolutely love the face on Jade, she’s soft and gorgeous and makes me look great!

Next we have the new Ginger Boots from Shiny Things, such AWESOME boots.   The texturing is so detailed and perfect, it’s hard to imagine they are pixel boots and not real!   They come 2.0 compatible for those of you that use the viewer and are some of the best boots i’ve seen in a very long time, love love!

Thursday was Truth Thursday, as always and he came out with three new styles.   I particularly love the one with the streaked option, as I love streaked hair, so that was a huge hit with me.  The other two hairs are great too, as always… but streaks are definately my fav

Kavar from Exile also released some new hair, and you can also see me in his prototype new skin (alllmoooosttt ready) in the hair pictures!  Gorgeous isn’t she? As is the hair.  There were two for boys (bottom row) and two for girls, but I think both work well and could look awesome on either.. well maybe not the girls on the boys.

Finally a new stool posing set from Reel Expression! Luth released this posing stool with 12 poses, four of which you can see below, and obviously you can use them without the prop, if you see fit!   I love it, I do love a good prop/pose set and this has quenched my thirst for a bit )

It’s been a while since i’ve done a blog and I apologise for that! I’ve had RL going on a lot more recently, spending time with the man before he jetted off to Singapore, then our family dog died .. I’ve been so overwhelmed with things I wanted to blog that I got scared to log in! I didn’t even log in on my 6th Rezday! POOOOOOP!

Yup.. Autumn has branched out to clothing now!  And what lovely clothing it is

It’s the St Augustine Dress! You might have picked up the 50LF offering to get a taster, then gone back for the whole set!   It’s really cute, especially with the sculptie pockets, I was thinking oh NOES HOW WILL I FIND A POSE!  Thankfully RubyStarlight Writer made some.. so I went over and picked those up too and VOILA!  Cuteness was born.

The dress comes in various colours, and the pose set comes with 5 poses.. so don’t delay, pick them both up today!

Alright, so i’m under the influence, but!!!!  I refound my love of LAQ today.   Julie was released and although i’m not a permanent redhead, I love her!

I love today’s SLDD!  So here I am to witter on about it slightly.

It’s from Second Spaces and you can see more about it over at the SLDD site.  It’s got so many lil bits and bobs to it that I know I can’t do it justice! It’s a total steal at only $L250 too!!

You get 2 chairs, 2 towels and a boat.. as well as a stack of towels to sit on, most of them with more than one pose!  It’s 71 prims in total, but you don’t have to have it all out if you don’t want to, although I totally would cos it’s so effin cute!

I really could babble on all day about how great its textures, how the prim work is fantastic… how cute it is, how I love the various poses, but for just $L250 I am hoping you’ll go and buy yourself one! <3

Second Spaces – SLDD for TODAY only!

Apologies, again.  I have been slacking with the blogging, but RL has been SUPER fun lately since I got my lil car Bloo!  I’ve been zooming here there and EVERYBLOODYWHERE, while the novelty is still new.  Yes, yes.. I’m 30 and I’ve only just learnt to drive, judge me ALLLL you want, I don’t care

Anyway, I have kinda fell behind, so I think maybe it’s pointless trying to catch up, therefore I am starting from scratch.. kinda sorta.   Sorry

I got me some new Truth Hair and the new Taylor Skins from League and oh em geeeee. LOVE!

Let’s look at the hair first:

Three new styles today, we have Marcelle, Paula and Shinji!   Marcelle is the longer style, a very basic longer, shaggier look.  With the swept bangs and slightly bed head feel to it, this is a lovely, but kinda plain style.   I love it!    Paula you can see from the side, but she has side swept bangs at the front, and the hair is held loosely at the back in the bun “thinger” you can see.   Totally casual and totally adorable!   Finally Shinji,  two lil piggies on either side with longer strands around the front and back, ADORABLE does not come close!  I love the bangs on her too, barely showing the eyes (well unless you have yours like.. right together)… sexy and sweet all in one!  The top you can see (sorta) is the new top from MichaMi too, which I insist you buy! It’s darn tootin cute!

New skins from League… SQUEEEEE! I love my old League skins, but bought them in darker tones.  This time I opted for the Pale!  So this is Taylor in Pale with a fatpack FULL of faces:

She comes with dark brows only atm, but you do get the following options with EVERY skin:  basic/frex/basic cleavage/ frex clevage/ basic hair / basic frex hair / basic hair cleaveage / basic frex hair cleavage!  WAHAY! OPTIONS!  You want a hairbase with freckles and boobs.. DONE.   You want a baldy with no boobs but freckles.. DONE! You want… you get the picture

I am in LOVE, srsly.

**Eyes | Shine ** Clothing | MichaMi ** Ears | Atomic **

Ok, it’s not what you think, get back in your box .  Today I would like to welcome Willow Caldera to the blog, my sissifur has joined us here at What *IS* Willis (or Arbers) Talkin’ About? (which we need to rename more now)!  For her introduction post, we’ve come up with a new take on blogging!

We will take a Theme or something – word, colour, occasion, food (maybe not that) etc.. at random and each make a look each based on it!  So you’ll see three different takes on our first chosen theme:  Floral!

Arbers

When I was asked to do a floral themed outfit, my first thought was, “Do I even have anything floral in my inventory?!” I’m not that kind of gal that wears floral patterned clothing, so this was difficult for me. I came across many awesome dresses and casuals that I could use, but it did not feel like it would be something I’d wear. I felt uncomfortable in them.

A few weeks ago, I started stalking…um…subscribing to Mother Goose’s blog, which not only milok Hermit posts her skins, but also low priced to free items she finds around Second Life. There are hits and misses, but when she finds something good, boy does she! I saw her entry on Regenboog’s Leonidas Dress, and I thought “Perfect!”.

I picked it up and gave it a go. I love it the skirt, it has three attachments, one on each hip and the chest, so you hardly see any glitch pants, and it’s great for photographing. The only thing I find odd about the skirt is the belted part, it isn’t closed all the way so I am not sure how the overall look is supposed to be, and it throws me off at times. It’s free, though, and I can overlook it due to the other great things about this dress. The trim at the top come in two options: with or without the ruffles. I prefer the ruffles for volume, but the other look is nice as well.

I’m not convinced my outfit quite captures the essence of ‘floral’ that the summer catwalks had in mind, but there are flowers on it, so it still counts.

I did look for a nice babydoll or a floaty number, but nothing was crawling out of the depths of my inventory and, besides, I liked the contrast in this outfit. I added some girly elements to soften the slightly trashy feel and I rather approve of the “butter might melt, we can’t be sure” result.

And just to reiterate: there are flowers on that blouse, oh yes there are.

I think this whole concept was summed up by me showing dear Sissifur (WillowC.. keep up!) my picture and her declaring that neither of us *quite* got the notion of Floral and me yelling, in caps: BUT IT HAS A FLOWER ON IT.  I stand by that!

I’m not a big fan of summer, or floral, i’m not your average girly girl at ALL, but I fell in love with this dress, and based my entire look around it.  I thought it was a nice summery touch to add the barefeet, without the blockiness of actual SL mesh feet.. I did also have a flower in my hair to start with, but that was a smidge overkill.. ONLY A SMIDGE!  Floral was uttered and all I heard was “WEAR FLOWERY STUFF”.

I have flowers on my dress and I’m eating some, what MORE could you want from a floral look (except perhaps, actual floral stuff).

Weeeeelllll helloooo everyone, I am recovering from the depressing UK Election result by throwing myself into a blog post!  Ok that’s not technically true, i’m not throwing myself, but hey ho, I took some pretty pictures so that’s good, right?

Today’s SLDD is a Bikini Fatpack from Zaara!  The Esha Bikini comes to you in 7 colours, that’s the 6 that you can buy as singles and a BONUS one!  I haven’t shown them all but if you follow that link above to the SLDD site you can see them.    They are 50% today ONLY.  So you can get them for just $L495.   I had to um and arrr over it, as I don’t really wear bikini’s all that much, but they were SO beautiful and it was such a bargain I couldn’t help myself!  There are a few other 10% etc deals dotted around too, so make sure you have a look!

The Bikini’s are so beautiful, ranging from more subtle colours to more eye popping, mouthwatering ones!  The detailing on it is just superb, I absolutely LOVE the back detailing, with the dangly entwined style straps.  I am SO chuffed I checked out the SLDD today, it’s made my day

New Truth next. WOOHOO!

Isidora | Jana | Tia2 | Paige

Isidora is a beauty!  She’s got one braid tucked around to the side and a gorgeous messy style pony going on.  So gorgeous!   So pretty! So. soo.. WEEE!

Jana is a big beauty.  She’s fluffy and fierce and has taken a place in my inventory as “the hair that would match most things”.  She’s not just casual, you can totally pull off a more formal look with her too!

Tia2 is a double braided version of Tia, obviously.   The braids are full and thick, luscious to say the least!   I had a bit of a job getting a pose where my boobs weren’t sticking out thru the hair, but that’s cos my boobs are obviously too big!  Easily fixed

Finally we have Paige, shes a shorter style with a texture change bow (even invisibubble!).  I really love this style, it’s perfectly perfect (I know, shut up).  With the bangs tucked behind the ears and the curly/wavy bits popping out here and there, this is such a staple for me. YAY!

Luth Brodie released some new poses over the course of the last week or so and oh hohoooo love, love.. FREAKIN FRACKIN LOVE!!!  I have *always* been a huge fan of Luth’s and I think I might almost, ALMOST have every pose ever made since day one (well released anyway) and  I am soooo happy to see her back!!!

I detest mornings, like… sooooooo sosososososo much!  But this morning I decided it might be a good time to blog, so here I am.

Bella di Notte and Hep C have some new stuff out, so I decided to give it a whirl!

Hep C’s stuff is jewellery (at least *this* stuff is) and fine jewellery at that!  Quirky and just how I like it.. fun!

Above you can see some of the “chew on” range… with a heart and a key (you can also add your own pictures to it!), a lil Kitty face (named pussy, for those that like a less conservative joke) and SUSSHIIIII!  The Sushi also comes with chopsticks to shove up your nose, what more could you want?!   I really like these, I like anything I can stick in my mouth (badum ching.. boys) so these were instant LOVE LOVE for me!   They come in a variety of chain colours too, as you can see!

Next we found some necklaces and face piercings.  There were FAR more face piercings than this, but I had trouble adjusting them, because my internet was being all springy, so I just stuck to showing the one, nice tho, isn’t it??   The necklaces I also love.  Not only are they intricate and CUTE, they are colour change either by clicking or using /4.  Individual different colours, if you want it!! How rad is that??  Highly scripted, even more higher cuteness factor.

You really should check out Hep C. Like… NOW!

Bella di Notte is a brand i’ve not really heard of before, i’ve seen bits here, and there but that’s about it. But I tried on the demos and fell in love with the face immediately!

I just look so sweet!!! I love the lips, they are fresh and juicy and not tooooo huge, not tooooo pursed.   Sooo kissable!!  The range of makeups is pretty high, although nothing too radical.  I know I probably opted for the wrong hair but I couldn’t get it off once I got it on (LOL!) so i’m afraid you’ll have to trust me on this one, or fetch the demos.   Whatever eye make-up it is, whether it’s barely there liner, or fresh lime and yellow.. it’s soooo well done.  And honestly, I could over look the eyes cos a) the lips are effin’ gorgeous and b ) the nostrils rock.  We know i’m a nostril freak. Sue me.

As for the body shading, I didn’t zoom in and out, and up and in and around.. but I was pretty impressed with what I saw.  Nothing was overshaded or harsh, although I can admit I am not a big fan of the nipples on these skins, they look a bit… odd.  BUT.. i’m no nipple expert, I don’t tend to get naked and i’m one of those bloggers that doesn’t really *care* what the nipples look like, I pay to have a good face and tum.. and perhaps legs.. anything I might expose regularly!  Boobs isn’t one of those things

Overall I was really impressed with the skin, it comes in a wide range of tones and comes with both Dark and Light Brows, although the Light isn’t like blonde blonde.. but it’s lighter than the dark, so YAYYYY!  Check them out, for real.. you won’t be disappointed.
