LoTD 27/12/12
Hello everyone, I trust your merry was christmas?? I won’t change it, it’s bad luck to correct yourself, right?
My Christmas was wonderful, I was well and truley spoiled with an Alienware laptop that is so pretty I could cry, amongst other things, but I spent most of it along with my family having fun, playing games, being merry and… hacking up a storm. Yep we all had the dreaded winter bug! Thankfully the kids weren’t too bad, but it’s been a bit of a testing time for sure. I thought my look of the day should mimic how i’ve been spending a fair few of my days this Christmas, dressed casually and with a bright red nose! This oldie but goodie skin is from Curio and is the Winter Sniffles version, complete with rosy red cheeks and rudolph nose, it mirrors my RL face right now! I’ve also been seen lounging about in sweat pants, a sweater and a lose top over the top because I keep going from hot to freezing. So the Tres Blah Neato Sweatshirt paired with Apple Mays little New York Crop Sweater were perfect, especially with the Grixdale sweats (an old pair). My hair’s about this length in RL, maybe a bit longer and I’ve been wearing it like this pretty much, except I have a full fringe in RL, so this Willows hair from Clawtooth is aptly named AND perfect. I just tinted it a bluey/black shade to match my RL hair. So there you have it. RL meets SL for the LoTD today.
Essences has moved (the SLURL on the Store Location Page is updated) and has a new gacha!! There are four makeups to collect, and four sets of eyebrows, so you may have to play a few times to get the combo you desire, but all of them are super pretty and for people like that like a fuller brow, these are for you! I really love the RARE of these skins, which are the bottom right, so pure and beautiful! Make sure you check them out, who doesn’t like a good gacha gamble??
I always tend to be a bit all over the place with my blogs, I don’t photoshop the crap outta my pictures, I prefer them to be as they are taken so that people can see what goodies look like, they aren’t masterpieces, which allows me to blog a fair big, I see a lot of people saying they are going to aim for quality over quantity on their blogs in 2013 and I wondered if I should do the same, but I figured i’d do what I always do, which is what I feel like! I try to blog at least once a day, of course when RL gets super busy I can’t, but I hop on SL before the kids are up in the morning, and if Mr W is studying at night, that’s what my new Alienware is for, so I can’t promise more quality, less quantity or anything for my blog, it’s just going to keep on trucking in the way it always has.. just.. whatever and I hope you continue to join me in the journey <3

Culture Clash at Around The World
Around The World, an event inspired by all the cultures and fashions on our fair planet, is in full swing and packed full of unusual treats. Each region has its own section but, in the spirit of the melting pot that Second Life has become, I have mixed and matched my nationalities to my heart’s content.
Above is the Antique Pakistani Furniture available from Senzafine and, to match its abundance of rich colours, the Tango Dress from Has Been. Posing items being, of course, in abundance at Around The World, I’m using one of the Strength mini-set poses from !bang.
A little more mellow but no less inviting, the Zen Garden Skybox from Ziau features your very own Zen sandbox and original poetry for your contemplative moments. I’m wearing the Seattle dress from Geometry with the Aussie Ugg Boots by Intrepid and playing about with the African Child and Malkia posing sets from Motionless, which come with a handy HUD version that I’m sure will be every photographer’s delight.
For those of us with bulging virtual closets and a hunger for more, you’ll have no trouble keeping your eyes on the prize at Around The World. Above you can see the Fur Poncho on offer from Orquidea, the Say It! New York cropped sweater from Apple May and the My Faithful shirt from Intrepid, all worn with Intrepid’s Patriot Jeans.
These are but a small fraction of the goodies on offer. Around The World has quite the variety, covet-worthy quality and a celebration of the diversity around our world – which, it turns out, can actually be enjoyed all at once. Exiled
If I could be exiled in this hair, I think i’d manage to enjoy it. Yep, 3 new styles from Exile today AND… HAIR BASES LADIES! I took a pic of every hair base available (I think, my eyes went funny)… and of course some are similar because some of the hair tones are similar, but all in all I love these bases! I don’t often wear them, but sometimes I do find the rigged mesh hair leave a lil spot on my head so it’ll be nice to have the exact right shade at last YAYYY!
Here they are! I couldn’t fit them all onto one collage, so i’m afraid you get two! The skin I am wearing is YS & YS and the ears, are of course, from Mandala!
The three new styles are GORGEOUSSSSS, from L to R we have Beyond the Waves, The Only Exception and Semi Charmed Life.
Beyond the Waves is a stunning style that comes complete with addable/colourchange mesh flowers. I cannot praise this hair highly enough, it’s the perfect look for a naked person really, like lady Godiva.. with flowers… but I had clothes on, which by the way are one of the few items available from Apple May at Around the World which starts SOOOOOOOOON! It really is a gorgeous hair.
The Only Exception is a cute over the shoulder style with zero bangs, or well… long bangs that meld in with the hair, whatever you like to think! I opted to wear this one in a bright pinky colour, but imagine it would look sultry and sexy with a darker shade. Spiffy!
Finally we have Semi Charmed Life, it was a toss up between this and Beyond the Waves for my fav hair of the release, and I think it came out as tie tbh! This high pony comes with separate mesh colour change bow, so you can wear it with or without, and it’s so pretty! It’s cute, it’s sexy, it’s everything a ponytail should be!

I think I whined mentioned in my last post that there are SO many events at the moment! All great, but it’s proving costly because I am falling in love with every sodding thing! Anyway here are a few more goodies from the Summer Beauty Festival, faMESHed and Culture Shock, and I haven’t even finished yet!
First up some goodies from the Summer Beauty Festival, my dear sissles Wizzlit posted about some goodies here too, go peruse at your leisure. Soooo:
First we have some goodies from CheLLe. Two packs out for the Festival, a lovely mask style tattoo layer, and the Henna tattoos! Both come in various colours and the mask one even comes with black out eyes (that I totally forgot to wear, but ho hum look great anyway). Lovely for a bit of masquerading about!
Hair - Truth | Skin - Glam Affair
Elymode has 3 new packs out at the Festival! We have the Alato eyeshadows, that come in an array of colours both with and without white accenting, the Japanese Maple face paint which comes in three styles, with and without additional eyemakup and finally, my fave the Glitter Brush makeup, which also comes in a bunch of colours! Who doesn’t love a bit of glam and glitter?!

Finally for the moment from the festival, Izzies! There are the gorgeous glittery eyeshadows, only 2 of a HUGE array shown here, very subtle with some gorgeous cateye action, a great staple for any makeup lover.. and the lace mask with lip colour. The masks and lip colours are available in a range of colours and you can mix and match because the masks and lips are on different layers! AWESSSOMME.
Hair - Exile | Skin - Glam Affair
Now we have some faMESHed and Culture Shock goodies!
First up is the new Wasabi Pills hair – Jacqueline! This is available at faMESHed and is fookin’ gorgeous. Just LOOK AT IT, oh my god it’s love. If WP ever does a hair I don’t like, I’ll eat my mesh feet!!! The top I am wearing is from Apple May and is available at Culture Shock, it’s cute and it’s mesh, what more can I say?!
Skin - Glam Affair
Finally some new Exile, also from FaMESHed and some Baiastice from Culture Shock. The hair from Exile is another style I am in LOVE with, and there is a boys style there too, so boys, if you are reading this.. go looksy! But this is a cute braided style, with some lovely feathery bangs. Absolutely adore! The dress is the Origami Mesh Dress (with Jacket) from Baiastice, available at CS. It comes in various different colour combos, but I fell in love with the green and blue with a hint of pink! It’s so lovely, I can see I will be poor because that stall is FULL of awesome.
